Bowling with the Boys

Bryan has a friend from work, Lisa, who has twin boys, Ryan and Shaun, who just recently turned five years old.

We were invited to their birthday party at a bowling alley and our boys had so much fun!! Dalin has been bowling before but it was a very long time ago. The twins never have bowled before and weren't sure quite what to do. It was so fun to watch all of them as they carried the heavy ball to edge of the lane and watched it go.

Dalin did very well and didn't need any help. Of course, he knew what he was doing from playing Wii Bowling. He had fun and was always antsy for his next turn.

Matthew and Micah used the bowling ramp designed to help little ones. It was a metal frame that they set the ball on top of so they could just push it off and watch it go. They loved it and it gave them some independence. They sure got excited and proud of themselves after they had a turn. Taking turns was hard for our little boys to understand, like always, but they did OK. Here is Matthew patiently waiting for it to be his turn again. He looks so grown up.

Now the bowling set that the boys got in February for their birthday has meaning and a purpose. They play with it everyday! It is so cute to watch them because they don't bowl like we've tried to show them the passed couple of months. They push their slide over to where they have lined up the pins and use it as a ramp. They are so smart and have so much fun!! Thanks Lisa and Trevis for the invite, our boys will never forget it!!
