Oh no...

We're in trouble now. The twins are addicted to the Nintendo DS. They would sit and play for hours if we'd let them.
They must be taking after their big brother.

Night Swim

We don't swim at night very often because the kids are usually in bed before the sun actually goes down. But tonight, we made a fire and swam. Dalin got the biggest kick out of it, but we all had fun.

I see more night swims in our future.

So Fun

Keeping two three-year-olds happy in the bathtub at night gets interesting sometimes. Tonight we filled the bathtub with balls and bubbles. They had a blast and giggled the whole time.

Play Date with Carrah

We had a fun day today with our twin friends. Carrah has identical twin girls named Addyson and Abbigail. We spent the morning with them and had so much fun. My boys loved being in a house full of girl toys.

Matthew being my little princess.
They had the cutest little play room. Micah is playing Hungry, Hungry Hippos. Dalin loved this Felix clock. The eyes moved back and forth.
We played with a big parachute.
The drum was a huge hit. Everybody used instruments and paraded around the house. It was so fun!And of course, the twins loved pushing around the baby strollers. Notice, though, what Micah is pushing around in the stroller. What a fun way to spend a summer day. We love having friends!! Thanks, Carrah for the invite.

Butterfly

Matthew put these wings on at a friend's house today. He was sooooo excited!! We laughed at how cute he was and how cute it was that he was excited about something girly. Then, I realized why he was so excited. He thought the wings would make him fly! We all laughed so hard, but he didn't find it funny. He was devastated!! He really thought it would fly.

Toddlers are so fun!!

Arizona Center for Lunch

We had lunch today at the Arizona Center down town with friends! As we walked from the car in 110 degrees, my boys were ready to jump in the fountains and ponds. It was hot!! The water looked great and it was all I could do to keep them dry. So, after we ate lunch, I let them splash around in this little splash pad. They were shocked that I was letting them get wet and were hesitant until they were sure I was okay with it. It was fun to watch them play and cool off!

Children's Museum

It was the 2nd Anniversary of the new Phoenix Children's Museum, so they were celebrating everything in twos. Twins were free all day and everybody else was buy one, get one free. We had so much fun and the price was just right!!
This was the cutest little car wash.
This was a fun machine that you put scarves in and watched them go through a maze of tubing and then get shot out the top and float back down to you. Micah loved it!!
The highlight was probably the "Noodle" Forest. Thousands of noodles were hung from the ceiling. It was so fun to run around through them. Micah kept coming to me and saying, "Come with me, Mom! It's real fun!!" That's what he's saying in this picture.
They had a fun race track that raced wooden block cars. Dalin loved them! They were like the pinewood derby cars he raced a few months ago with the Scouts.
The boys loved playing around in the kitchen area. Here's Matthew doing the dishes.
This was a fun homemade maze that Micah loved. (Our friend, Lisa, is holding him.)
Dalin climbed into this giant playhouse.
What a fun day!! And of course, it was packed with twins. It's always fun to see other twin families.

Micah and his Bean Bag

We were at Grandma and Grandpa Marshall's house the other day and the kids were all watching a show on TV. They were so quiet that I went to see what they were up to. They were all engrossed in the show and were on the couch. All of them, but Micah. He was in this pink bean bag right in front of the TV. It was so cute to see him in the pink bean bag, happy as can be!!

Matthew Moved up another level at Swim Kids

Matthew is such a good swimmer. Since we have started swimming, now that it is hot out and our pool is warm enough, he has become a fish. We went to a public pool the other day and a life guard stopped me and asked how old he was and where he learned to swim like he was. That's when I paid better attention to what he was doing. He was jumping in, rolling over to float, then rolling to swim again, then rolling to float. That's what Teacher Brandon has been trying to teach him for 6 months. He did it perfectly without his teacher. It was fun to show him off and brag about Swim Kids to the life guard, but I was more excited to show his swim teacher.

So, when we got to swim lessons, I told Teacher Brandon what he was doing and that the life guard noticed. He was skeptical and said, "Let's see this!" So he told Matthew what he wanted him to do and had him jump in. My little fish did not let me down, he swam and floated and swam and floated!! Brandon was so happy! He quickly got the deck manager who watched him and yanked him from the pool. "You're ringing the bell," he said, which means he was advancing him to the next level.

They make such a big deal about advancements at Swim Kids that it is really fun! In the room with the pool they stop all lessons and have the child ring a loud bell and then they announce the advancement. It'r really cool!! Then after they are done and dried off, they stop everyone in the lobby and play olympic music as they announce the advancement again and give the kids a metal to wear. It's a really big deal!!

Doesn't he look tiny on the stage?? So cute!!

He was super serious, too.

And, of course, the best part is the toy you get to pick at the end.

Way to go, Matthew!!

Summer's Here...Time to Swim

The pool was finally warm enough to swim. Well, warm enough for my boys. It was still too cold for me. I'm a big chicken, though, so it has to be pretty warm for me to get in. Since, I stayed out, I was able to take these cute pictures.

Matthew being silly as he jumps in...

Micah loves, loves, loves to jump in. He never stopped the entire time we were outside. He was so funny.

Dalin, just happy to be in the water...

Birthday Party at Jeepers

The twin's have a buddy that we met at swim lessons. They've been together for over a year and have become quite good friends. Ironically, his name is Matthew. The boys were invited to his 3rd birthday party.

We even convinced Daddy and Dalin to come with us and had so much fun together as a family.

There were giant animals for the kids to climb on as they waited for the rides. I love this picture of Matthew and Micah on the Rhino.

The boys loved this slide. I remember going on one like this when I was a kid and loving it. I haven't seen one in years!! The metal cylinders spin independently as you slide down. My boys would laugh and laugh!!

There was a train, too.

Just before we left for the day, the boys got really silly. They started to make their "angry" faces. They were so funny that I had to take some pictures.

Matthew...

Dalin...

And Dalin with Micah and an "angry" gorilla...
What a fun party and fun family day!! Thank you Matthew James for sharing your special day with us!

Tree Sap at Grandma and Grandpa's house

Grandpa Elmo cut down a ton of branches off of his pine tree in the back yard. No pine tree sap drips and drips. Under this tree is where my boys love to drive their trucks in the dirt, and use their little shovels. So, now everytime they try to play, their feet get covered in tree sap. Tree sap, might I add, is impossible to get off without using lots of "goo be gone".

Well, we always try to convince the boys to stay inside, but they just can't resist the trucks and shovels outside. So, we always give in and then regret it.

Micah was so funny this week. We were outside and surprised how well it was going. Everyone was playing and nobody was covered in sap, well, we thought nobody was. We quickly noticed that Micah was missing. Grandpa went in to find Micah sitting in the sink. Grandpa said, "Hey do you need help getting off the sap." Micah very sweetly said, "No, Grandpa, I already workin' on it!!" Grandpa laughed and laughed and came to get the rest of us. He was so funny!! He was covered in sap and knew just what to do!

We're all hoping that the HOT summer sun will dry up the tree sap!!
