Dalin Turns 10

Ten years ago our dreams came true!! This little boy changed our lives forever when he made us parents.

Today, Dalin turns 10-years-old! He is everything I ever dreamed he would be, and so much more! He has truly become one of my very best friends and we have lots of fun together!

This completely describes Dalin today:

* He loves to be with his friends and really hates to be alone.

* He is always looking for something "fun" to do.

* He is saving all of his money for a Mustang!

* He rides his bike to school just about everyday.

* His favorite restaurant is TGI Fridays.

* He loves to go get ice cream although fell in love with Bahama Bucks snow cones this summer.

* His favorite TV shows are Shake it Up and Good luck, Charlie.

* He hates to share his toys with his pesky brothers.

* He LOVES to wrestle, but usually gets in trouble when he does.

* He begs to stay up late every night.

* He can't wait to get a cell phone and asks for one all the time.

* His favorite colors are red and black.

* He loves Hershey's chocolate bars.

These are Dalin's best buddies, Jayden and Carson!

Matthew and Micah are FOUR

These little boys changed our lives forever four years ago today. They were so little and helpless back then, and oh, so cute!

Today, they are four-years-old. They are now old enough to be in preschool, invite friends over to play, and play video games. They are the best of friends and the worst of enemies and love their BIG brother, Dalin.

Here are some things we want to remember about 4-year-old Matthew:

* He loves his mommy!
* He is very independent and does everything himself.
* He loves to have his best friend, Paxton, come over to play.
* He loves to paint.
* He can't sleep without his twin brother.
* He loves chocolate milk!
* He loves to ride his quad.
* He is very particular about what he will wear.
* He carries stuffed animals with him wherever he goes.
* He is his mommy's little shopping buddy.
* He loves to be outside and ride bikes.
* His favorite story is Fidgety Fish because the fish burps.
* He is always trying to sneak into Dalin's room to steal his toys.
* He loves to cook, especially if he gets to crack eggs.

Here are some things we want to remember about 4-year-old Micah:

* He is ALWAYS the first one up in the morning.

* He loves to sleep in mom and dad's bed.

* He can do just about any puzzle you give him.
* He loves to drink Diet Coke, like his mommy.
* He does not like to run errands.
* He loves to swing in the backyard really, really high.
* He is a Mario addict and plays the Wii everyday.
* He loves to snuggle with anyone who is willing.
* He loves to eat pudding and sneaks it all the time.
* He hates to wear shoes.
* He loves to be outside riding bikes.
* He loves Cheetos, especially at Grandma's house.
* He loves to read the Grouchy Ladybug.
* He loves to be the star student in preschool.

First Day in Primary

Today was the boys first day in Primary! They were super excited and got all dressed up. Don't they look just adorable!

They were so brave and didn't even cry. Matthew had a harder time than Micah did, which was very surprising, but they both made it for both hours. Let's hope it goes as well next time.

Dalin

Dalin is the biggest brother. He is in 3rd grade, gets good grades, and loves to read. Since he turned 8 in July, he was baptized and started Cub Scouts, too. He loves to draw and really wants to learn to play the guitar. He stays busy with his friends and loves to ride his bike. He has even started riding it to school most days. He loves being a big brother and showing off the twins but will also be the first to tell you that his little bothers drive him absolutely crazy. The stories he tells at school are hilarious and, of course, very exaggerated by the time they get back to us.

Matthew

Matthew is the older of the twins, well, older by one minute. He is always interacting with one of us. He asks me every morning if his friends are coming over and will wait by the window if they are. He loves to dance for you, but doesn’t always want you to join him and will tell you, “No. Sit down.” He absolutely loves animals and has enjoyed our new bunny. He is very curious about his world and gets into trouble a lot as he tries to be independent. He burned his hand on the stove, got his head trapped under a bed at Grandmas, and ate an entire cake for lunch one day. Yes, the ENTIRE cake, and didn’t even make a mess!

Micah

Micah is the youngest and has a heart of gold! He is very quiet and keeps to himself. He is very happy when he is at home with his things, surrounded by the people he loves. He reads to himself all day long and counts everything he sees. He can even count in Spanish, thanks to Dora and Diego. He loves to line things up and put them into categories. His little mind is always working as he figures out his world and the looks he gets on his face prove it. He saw the ocean in June for the first time and couldn’t get enough. The water was freezing and he was shivering, but he kept running and running with the waves.
