"Uh Oh, Mama!!!"

What a mess!! Today in between playgroup and pack meeting, Matthew and Micah made a horrible mess. I mean HORRIBLE!! I was down the hall, for literally, 2 or 3 minutes. As I heading back toward the kitchen, Matthew and Micah met me in the hallway saying, "We like 'em!" When I asked what they were eating, they said, "Uh oh, Mama!" That is when I knew I was in trouble.

Sure enough I walked into my kitchen to find this mess!!

They had accidentally knocked over and entire box of opened cereal. Apparently, they wanted some. They ate the cereal and walked on the cereal and tracked it all through the house in the few short minutes I was gone. I just sat on the floor with them and cried!!

After regaining my composure, I did explain to them that this was not a good thing and made them clean up a lot of the mess.

A lot was saved for me, as well. It took over and hour to get everything back to normal. Today was definitely a day that I was very glad when Bryan got home from work to help with my crazy two-year-olds!!

Lady Bugs

We made the cutest little lady bugs today at our twin's playgroup. We made ladybugs out of rocks. (Thanks, Brittany, for sharing the idea!) We started by painting the rocks red. I love to watch my boys paint because they get so serious!!

Then, after they dried, we used a black marker and put spots on our lady bugs and glued on some googly eyes and antennas.

Matthew and Micah loved their finished lady bugs!! They carried them all around to show everyone. The would set them down and just stare at them.

It was so fun!! I definitely see more rock bugs and animals in our future!!!

First Day Back to School

Dalin is officially a third grader today. He has been so excited to get back to school and get away from his little brothers until today when it was time to leave them. He got quite teary-eyed as he hugged them good-bye. "They're really going to miss me, Mom!" he said over and over again as we drove.

He was right, they were going to miss him, but he was also going to miss them. As he got to school, his brothers and I were all fogotten as he searched for his buddy. Carson is in his class this year, as he was anxious to see him. Once they found each other, they both looked so happy.

There's nothing like a great friend!! I hope these smiles are a sign that it is going to be a great year!!

Micah Being Silly

Micah was such a goof ball today. He found some socks in my room and put them on. As you can see, they are very big for him. He thought he was soooo funny and so did Dalin. The two of them laughed and laughed while he ran around the house like this.

Becoming Thiefs

Nothing like waiting 'til the last minute to get the school shopping done. I did it ALL in one day and had all three kids with me. It was quite the day!! Besides managing to get all of the clothes and school supplies that Dalin needed, we managed to become theifs today. Not on purpose, of course, and we can laugh about it now, but it was really quite scary at the time.

We started in Macy's and found a few pairs of shorts and a t-shirt for Dalin. I put them in the bottom of the stroller while he was in the dressing room, so I could hunt the twins down and wrestle them back into the stroller. As we were walking to pay for the clothes, my sister-in-law, Krista called my cell phone. She needed to talk and was very upset on the phone. So, in my attempt to help calm her down, I forgot that I needed to pay. I walked right out of the store with about $30 worth of clothes still in the bottom of my stroller.

I was still talking with Krista as we wandered around Sears. It wasn't until I had hung up and found some more clothes for Dalin that we wanted to buy that I realized we were officially thiefs and had successfully shoplifted from Macy's. That is when the panic set in! Great! Now, how was I going to explain to the Sears security guards that the suspicious clothes they saw were not taken from their store but from another store. Luckily, again, nobody noticed the clothes.

After we paid at Sears, we quickly went to Macy's to pay for everything. They were so happy we came back!! We were just thrilled that everyting worked out and we were able to explain and fix our mistake without having to put on hand cuffs or tell our side of the mix up.

So, after about 5 hours of shopping, we had everything we needed, including two very tired two-year-olds who were asleep before we drove out of the parking lot.
