Matthew and his bunny, Spirit

Matthew has such a special bond with his bunny, Spirit! The bunny runs from most of us because she is so afraid that we will stick her in her cage. But for some reason, she loves Matthew and never runs from him. He is always outside with her by his side. He hugs her, pets her, kisses her, and even lays on her. She never cares, just loves to have him around.

Dalin's Bookreport

Dalin had to do a bookreport. He thought and thought about which book he wanted to read and report on. He thought and thought until he was running out of time. I suggested several books but we could not agree on anything. Finally, after playing with his brothers and finding an elephant, he decided. "Mom, let's do Horton Hatches an Egg and use this elephant!"

Finally, a committment. We could work with that. We went to the hobby store and bought some "trees" to make this diarama. It turned out so neat. Dalin was proud of it and was able to do it pretty much by himself. All I did was the hot glue part. We actually poked a hole in the back of the box and glued the elephant in. It worked great!! Woo hoo!! Another successful school project.

Huntington Beach Trip

Easter

It's time for the Easter Bunny to make his annual visit. To get our boys excited, we started by going to see the big guy himself. After seeing the bunny and sitting on his lap, the twins were definitely excited!! They knew he was real and was going to come to their house really soon.

After seeing the big bunny, we went to Grandma Mell and Grandpa Elmo's house. Boy, were the boys surprised that the Easter Bunny had already been to her house and left some eggs for them to find. Looking for eggs with all of our cousins is always fun!!

Aunt Victoria brought some sugar cookies that needed frosting. Matthew was so funny as he frosted and ate his cookies. His brothers weren't interested, so he frosted their cookies, too.

Then, later that night, after we were home, we dyed our eggs. That way we'd be all set for the Easter Bunny to come to our house.

Micah was really proud of his eggs!!!The next morning, when everyone woke up, boy were they excited to see what the Bunny had brought.

He brought ring pops...

And frisbees...

Micah was so funny. He picked up his frisbee and said, "Look, mom, he brought me a...ummm...he brought me a...ummm...he brought me a circle!!" We showed him that the circle was really a frisbee, and then he understood, but it was sure funny to see his reaction. And Bakugans...

And chocolate...

Matthew managed to eat his chocolate out of the wrapper before he did anything else. He devoured the entire bunny in about 2 minutes. Good grief!

Then we headed outside to find the rest of the eggs.

Our Easter dinner plans were cancelled at the last minute, so for the first time ever, we made our own Easter dinner at home and invited some friends over. Bryan had so much fun making dinner and went all out. It was yummy, yummy!! Happy Easter everybody!
