Before leaving the hospital with his $40, Dalin informed Bryan that he was not buying him any dinner, he was using the entire $40 on toys. He even got into the diaper bag and cleared out his allowance money he had been saving which gave him a total of $50. He asked very nicely if Bryan would take him to Wal-Mart to look around. Bryan agreed! He was just grateful that Dalin was happy and excited as they left the hospital.
Dalin called up to the hospital later that night and told us that he bought something. He was so excited to tell us that he bought a skateboard. He described it in great detail and talked a million miles a minute. He couldn't wait to ride it the next day.
Unfortunately, it was raining when he woke up. Dalin was devestated and so was Bryan. He was counting on Dalin riding his skatboard all day with his friends so he could get stuff done around the house. After realizing it was raining, Dalin decided to make the most of it and went door to door practically looking for a friend to come over and play. Bryan had moved the truck into the rain so Dalin could ride his new skateboard in the garage and stay dry. Again, Dalin was upset when he realized that EVERYBODY went out of town for the Memorial Day Holiday.
Now, the twins are home and so are all of Dalin's friends. He rides his skateboard everyday. He even gives his little brothers rides on it. He looks so old as he carries it around and shows me how he can grind on it. My baby is all grown up now!!
