Dalin really wanted to make some money over Spring Break, so he decided he would sell some kool-aid. He was so excited!! He got up early, made signs to put throughout the neighborhood, and started making kool-aid. By about 7 AM, he was ready to go. Unfortunately, most of the neighborhood was still asleep.
Our friends, Amy and James, found out what we were up to and wanted in. So James made some cookies to sell along with the kool-aid. They were in business by about 10 AM at a nearby park thanks to facebook and a couple of my friends. Tiffani showed up with her boys who were hungry and thirsty. Dalin and James were so cute as they served their first customers.

It was kind of a slow day at the park, and it was hot, too. I think Matthew and Micah drank most of the kool-aid and I ended up paying for it. That's okay, it was worth it to see Dalin succeed.

After lunch, we decided to take a break. We decided to wait and try again in the late afternoon as moms and dads got off of work. We set up along a main road in our neighborhood. They sold the rest of their kool-aid and cookies there while the little ones played in the field. I couldn't have asked for more from Matthew and Micah. They played and played all day while their brother kept me busy. The found dandelions in the parks all day and thought they were the coolest things ever!!

In the end, they made a total of around $15. Dalin's half plus the money he already had bought him a blue beta fish named Sparkles. He was happy and had his first taste of the business world. I don't think he'll sell kool-aid again anytime soon, even though he loves his new fishy. He decided it was way too much work!!
