More Kite Flying

After a crazy, busy day, we had such a fun night. After taking the boys for a walk, we saw the neighbors flying kites and they inspired us. Dalin ran home and got his kite ready. It was windy and cloudy, so the kite was crazy in the air. He laughed and laughed as he tried to control it! It crashed to the ground many times and one of the times, Matthew and Micah got a hold of the tail streamers and ripped a couple of them off. Dalin was such a good sport about it and was just glad the twins were happy and having fun like he was.

When the Ironman kite ended up on the roof, we opened a new Thomas the Train kite for the babies. I was so impressed that Dalin was willing to fly a Thomas kite just to make his little brothers happy. I always wondered, when I was pregnant with the twins, if Dalin and the twins would ever play together since there is an almost six year gap between them. Days like today, that gap doesn't seem quite so big!! They play like best friends play sometimes, you just have to find something that bridges the gap. Apparently kites are a hit in our family!!
