My boys had quite a day at swim lessons today! It all started with Dalin. He swam years ago at SwimKids, from 6 months old until he was 5 years old. Then he started school and got busy, so we stopped his lessons. He was already a great swimmer, but was learning the strokes. He was really fast and the swim teachers assured us we'd be back.
Well, they were right, so this summer, I signed him back up. It had been awhile, so he needed some refresher classes. Today, after just three weeks of lessons, he advanced two levels and is now back to the level he left off at. Along with his advancement, came a ceremony. SwimKids always goes out of their way to make kids feel special.
After Dalin's lessons and award show, the twins swam. Shortly after the lesson started, Matthew's teacher decided that Matthew was also ready to advance. He can now float on his back for at least 12 seconds all by himself and get a ring from the bottom of the pool. They pulled him out of the pool to ring a bell in order to show off his advancement. It was pretty cute!
Then, after getting dressed he got his award, just like Dalin did! He wasn't sure what was happening or what he had done to deserve it, but was still awfully proud of himself!!
Micah was ready for his turn. He climbed up on the award platform waiting for his award, too. He didn't get one today, but his day will come very soon. He is not far behind his brothes!!
