This was a very last minute trip for us. We were suppose to go to the Sand Dunes in Utah, but that trip got canceled and we wanted to get out of town and have fun with our boys. Our friends, Lisa, Trevis and their five year old twin boys, Shaun and Ryan were going to Sea World and invited us to tag along. We are so glad that we did and had a ton of fun!
The first day, we got to go behind the scenes thanks to Lisa and Trevis. It was so great to be able to interact with the animals and learn some of the back stage information. We got to feed a lot of animals, but feeding the turtles will never be forgotten. Matthew was so funny because he was feeding the turtles fresh lettuce, so everytime he needed more he would say, as only a two year old can, "More salad...more salad."
Micah was often running around doing his own thing. One time, he ran off very determined. We finally realized that he was chasing a bunny. Forget the exotic animals, he wanted that bunny. It was so funny to watch him!
The Shamu Show was amazing and the twins did great!! I was so afraid that they would be bored. Instead, they loved every minute of it. In fact, everytime "shampoo" jumped, Micah would clap!! They both can tell you all about the show and watch the video I filmed of the show over and over every day!
We had the worst luck with all of the seagulls! One seagull flew away with Bryan's cheeseburger during lunch. We have the worst luck. Then, as Dalin tried to feed the sting rays a little fish with both of his brothers by his side, a seagull swooped out of nowhere and dive bombed all three boys. He splashed water all over everybody and stole Dalin's little fish. It took several minutes for us to even realized what had happened and Matthew was not happy about being wet.
It was rainy and overcast the entire time we were there, but we were determined to take the kids to the beach. The water was so cold, but the kids had a blast!! Dalin went way out to attack the waves and ran with the waves as they chased him to shore.
Micah was shaking and shivering, but didn't want to stop. He, too, like to chase the waves in and out while he laughed. Matthew was more nervous of the waves, but did play a little with his brothers as he adjusted and realized the fun he was missing.
Dalin got a new DS game to keep him occupied in the hotel room called, "Nintendogs". It is a voice activated game where you buy and trade dogs. It kept him very entertained and kept all of us awake. We heard all weekend, "Sit, Skinny, Sit!!" I'll always remember this trip whenever this new game is played.

What a fun trip, How did your friend get you in to see and feed the different animals? That would be so neat.
